[Melbourne Osaka Double-handed Yacht Race DAY 21]

This is a report from the first day of the 2nd Melbourne-Osaka Double-handed Yacht Race.

We successfully escaped from the Solomon Sea! 😄 We fought through the night again until the very end.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) between the calm zone and the sea was much tougher than I had heard. It was like a "dark pot" and I didn't know what was going to come out🤣🤣🤣

The winds are fickle, the tides are fast and changeable, and tropical thunderstorms and surrounding volcanoes further complicate things.

Anyway, last night started with heavy rain and strong winds, which were like a bucket or a pot being turned over, and then suddenly it became windless. The waves and tides were so bad that it felt like we were being thrown into a broken dehydrator.

I was worried that my Jazz would seriously break.

Thanks to Micchan's many years of experience and the flexible response he took, the injuries were minor.

Now I want to reach the equator, which has been my dream, within the next two days.
